Film Buff Award  

A special award for the passionate
film buff.
While Islamic terrorist diehards continue to lead the fight and spreading terror in parts, Rachid, a young "repentant" terrorist returns to his village taking advantage of a national amnesty to come down from the mountains and return to civil society.. Then he meets an embittered local pharmacist, paving the way for the disclosure of secrets that have the potential to tear them apart, and leading to an emotionally devastating finale that audiences will find unforgettable.
Lisa a daring adolescent girl initiates friendship with two boys Bruno and Lalo. Her preference is for Lalo but when he does not respond to her fully, she has sex with Bruno. Then she resumes her relationship with Lalo causing heartburn for Bruno. But the two friends Lalo and Bruno do not fight over her and kill each other. The three go out together and indulge in adolescent adventures and outings happily. Lisa leaves Argentina with her parents . She returns to Buenos Aires for a conference after 30 years . She meets her two ex-boyfriends, who are settled in life. The arrival of Lisa unsettles them and revives their memories.
In Buenos Aires, the bitter and methodic Roberto is a lonely man and the owner of a hardware store. Roberto collects bizarre worldwide news in an album as a hobby and his acquaintance Mari has an unrequited love for him, but Roberto is always evasive. One day, Roberto sees a Chinese named Jun being expelled from a taxi while he is watching the landing of airplanes in the airport and he helps the man to stand up. Jun does not speak Spanish and shows a tattoo with an address on his arm. Roberto heads to the spot with Jun and discover that the place belonged to Jun's uncle that sold it three and half years ago. Roberto goes with Jun to the police station, to the China's embassy and to a Chinese neighborhood to seek out his uncle but it is a fruitless search. Roberto lodges Jun in his house and after a series of incidents, he finds a delivery boy to translate Jun and he learns the dramatic story of his life.
Venice is having trouble with the men in her life. On the night her ex-hippy dad Arthur arrives in Sydney to stay on the sofa of her tiny apartment for a week, she is dumped by her lover and begins an ill-advised affair with her charismatic best friend Lenny. Arthur carefully ignores the turmoil swirling around his daughter’s life until she confronts him about the childhood that still pains her.
Lena, the light-skinned daughter of an Aboriginal mother and Irish father and Vaughn, a Murri boy serving time in a minimum security prison in New South Wales are thrown together on a journey with no money and no transport. To Lena, Vaughn represents the life she is running away from, and to Vaughn, Lena embodies the society that has rejected him. For a short period of time, they experience a true happiness together.
During the Boer War, three Australian lieutenants are on trial for shooting Boer prisoners. Though they acted under orders, they are being used as scapegoats by the General Staff, who hopes to distance themselves from the irregular practices of the war. Lord Kitchener, who ordered the trial, hopes to bring the Boer War to an end with a peace conference. To that end, he uses the Morant trial to show that he is willing to judge his own soldiers harshly if they disobey the rules of war. The trial does not progress as smoothly as expected by the General Staff, as the defence puts up a strong fight in the courtroom.
World War I, 1915. Archy Hamilton , a rising-star sprinter, sets aside his dreams to join the Australian Light Horse Division to fight in the war. He runs into fellow sprinter Frank Dunne, whom he convinces to join up with him. Unable to enter the Light Horse due to his inability to ride a horse, Frank is sent to Infantry, where he encounters some old buddies. Training commences, and Frank and Archy run into each other. With a special transfer to the Light Horse, Frank and Archy are sent to the Gallipoli Peninsula to fight the Turks. What they encounter shakes their beliefs about war.
Based on the legendary true story of the Red Dog who united a disparate local community while roaming the Australian outback in search of his long lost master. John Grant, Red Dog's's master, a bus driver for Hamersley Iron, starts dating a woman named Nancy, who is a secretary at Hamersley Iron. After living in Dampier for two years, John proposes to Nancy. On the night of the engagement, John tells Red Dog to stay until he returns from Nancy's caravan. Early the next morning, John rides his motorcycle from Nancy's caravan, but is killed in an accident on the way home. In the shock of John's accident, Nancy and the Hamersley men forget about Red Dog. Three days after the funeral, they find him still waiting where John told him to stay. After three weeks Red decides to look for John, across much of the Australian North West Pilbara region from Perth to Darwin, in search of his beloved master.

Along the days, Martin spends his days in the Tasmanian wilderness chasing the Tiger and becomes closer and closer to the Armstrong family. But Red Leaf wants results no matter the costs.

A teenage boy is hired along with the music group of his father by a Zamindar (landlord) for entertaining him until the annual flood is over in the Haor region of East Bengal. But the boy finds out that he has to do something more than the rest of the members of the group - he had to dress up as a girl, and dance to Ghetu music. The wife of the landlord cannot stand this new 'rival' of hers and conspires to kill the boy.
Comic-book artist Jung returns to Seoul for the first time since he was abandoned at the age of 5. There have been 200,000 Korean children spread throughout the world since the end of the Korean War. Born in 1965 in Seoul and adopted in 1971 by a Belgian family, Jung is one of them. Adapted from the graphic novel of the same name, the film goes back over some key moments of Jung's life: the orphanage, his arrival in Belgium, family life, difficult adolescence... It relates the events that led him to accept his uprooting, identity, integration, maternal love, all in a reconstructed and blended family.
Belgian schoolteacher, Murielle, and Moroccan immigrant, Mounir, starts off well when they fall in love and decide to live together in the home of Mounir’s surrogate father, Doctor Pinget. But as Murielle quickly learns, the physician casts a paralyzing shadow over his young ward. When Murielle gives birth to a first and then a second child, life for the young couple seems more or less satisfying, but when a third child arrives, the burden it places on the two parents is heavy. Rahima, a Muslim woman in her twenties who works in a restaurant and her brother Nedim, are orphans of the 90s Bosnian war, but never allude directly to their parents. Marie, a Canadian editor specialized in testimonies of Genocide survivors, starts to receive anonymous large envelopes with the narrative of Ali, a young Palestinian who grew up in a refugee camp in Lebanon. A portrait of famed Chilean singer and folklorist Violeta Parra filled with her musical work, her memories, her loves and her hopes. Parra was born in 1917 and grew up in southern Chile with her siblings and widowed father , a schoolteacher and guitarist, who eventually died of alcoholism. As a young woman, she participated in a traveling musical troupe with other family members, gathering traditional songs from around the country, before moving to Europe with Swiss flautist Gilbert Favre , where she further developed her contemporary folk style and was selected to display her paintings at the Louvre. Returning to Chile, she split with Favre, leading a life of increasing isolation before her suicide in 1967.

Thirteen-year-old Wei Minzhi arrives in Shuiquan village to substitute for the village's only teacher while he is away on personal business. He explains that many students have recently left school to find work in the cities, and he offers her a 10-yuan bonus if all the students are still there when he returns. One day, when Zhang leaves for work in nearby city of Zhangjiakou, Wei is determined to get him back. Wei goes to the local television station at Zhangjiakou to broadcast a missing person notice. The station manager is interested in her story and decides to feature Wei in a talk show. Zhang sees the show and Wei and Zhang are reunited.

Antonio Farfan is a 46 year old man working in a notary's office who has always believed that his personal and professional failure is the inevitable result of his looks: he is bald, short and fat. Though his mind is never silent, his life goes almost uneventfully until the new notary arrives: a fatter, balder and shorter man that, unlike Antonio, is successful and loved by others. Ozgur is a young woman who is the daughter of a refugee family fled to France. She is born and raised in Paris. After her father Huseyin's death, she comes to Istanbul to fulfill Huseyin's last wish. This will force Ozgur to a journey both in Istanbul and herself. In this journey Ozgur will meet with her father's and mother's relatives who are completely different people.
